Role Overview

As a Lifeguard (Bank) at Nuffield Health, the successful candidate will help ensure members remain safe and comfortable while using the swimming pool, spa, sauna, and steam room facilities.

The role is offered on a bank basis, meaning there are no fixed weekly contracted hours. Instead, shifts are arranged on an ad-hoc basis according to the needs of Nuffield Health and the candidate’s availability.

This position is ideal for an enthusiastic, alert, and customer-focused individual who holds the required lifeguard qualification and is committed to maintaining high standards of safety and customer care.

Key Responsibilities as Lifeguard

• Monitor members and visitors using Nuffield Health’s wet-side facilities
• Help maintain safety across the swimming pool, spa, sauna, and steam room
• Remain attentive and alert throughout every shift
• Respond quickly and appropriately to safety incidents and emergencies
• Ensure Nuffield Health Pool Safety Guidelines are followed at all times
• Welcome and support members while they use the facilities
• Create a friendly, relaxed, professional, and safe environment
• Maintain a strong focus on customer care and member satisfaction
• Work collaboratively with colleagues to support the smooth running of the Fitness & Wellbeing Centre
• Keep lifeguarding knowledge and training records up to date
