Role Overview

As a UPS Field Engineer, the successful candidate will be responsible for commissioning UPS and critical power systems at customer sites across London and the South East. The role will involve supporting systems throughout installation and post-deployment stages, troubleshooting technical issues, and working directly with customers and internal technical teams.

The position is field-based and offers a high level of independence. The engineer will manage their own workload, oversee equipment handovers, resolve configuration issues, and represent the company professionally at customer locations.

Occasional European travel will also be required, making flexibility and a willingness to travel important aspects of the position.

Key Responsibilities as a UPS Field Engineer

  • Commission UPS and critical power systems at customer sites
  • Support UPS installations through commissioning and post-deployment stages

  • Strong hands-on experience working with three-phase UPS systems Experience with UPS systems ideally within the 10–500 kVA range Background in commissioning, field support, or application engineering Good understanding of data centre power infrastructure Knowledge of relevant electrical standards Strong troubleshooting and technical problem-solving skills Ability to work independently and manage workloads effectively Full UK driving licence Willingness to travel across Europe when required
