Role Overview

As a Refrigeration Service Engineer, the successful candidate will be responsible for planned maintenance and reactive service callouts across Kent and the South East corridor.

The role is predominantly based around Kent, Sittingbourne, Dartford, and Canterbury, with only occasional travel further afield. The engineer will work across a broad range of refrigeration systems rather than being limited to a single manufacturer or equipment type.

This position is suited to an experienced refrigeration engineer who is confident working independently across different plant and systems and who wants to spend most of the working week within a local service area.

Key Responsibilities as a Refrigeration Service Engineer

• Carry out planned preventative maintenance on commercial and industrial refrigeration systems
• Respond to reactive refrigeration service callouts across the assigned territory
• Diagnose and repair faults across multi-compressor packs and DX refrigerant systems
• Work with receiver parks, glycol water-chilled systems, and cold storage plant
• Inspect and maintain pumps, valves, actuators, and associated refrigeration components
• Use remote monitoring systems to assess temperatures, pressures, alarms, and room conditions
• Identify faults remotely where possible before travelling to site
• Provide professional engineering support to customers across the service area
• Complete occasional travel to locations further afield when required
• Participate in the company’s on-call service rota

Location, Salary & Working Arrangements

• Location: Kent and South East corridor
• Primary areas: Kent, Sittingbourne, Dartford, and Canterbury
• Employment type: Permanent
• Salary: £45,000 basic, dependent on experience
• On-call: 1-in-4 rota
• Standby allowance: £150 per week
• Travel: Door-to-door travel paid
