About Perigon Search

Perigon Search is recruiting an experienced Air Conditioning Service Engineer for a permanent mobile position covering commercial sites across London, the Home Counties, and the South East. The role focuses on VRV/VRF air conditioning systems and offers a structured working schedule without a call-out rota.

The position is designed for an experienced engineer who can work independently, diagnose faults effectively, and deliver high-quality maintenance and service work across commercial properties.

Role Overview

As an Air Conditioning Service Engineer with Perigon Search, the successful candidate will carry out planned maintenance, servicing, fault diagnosis, and repairs on commercial VRV/VRF and split air conditioning systems.

The role involves working across different commercial sites according to a planned mobile schedule. Engineers will generally work an 8-hour day, with scheduling designed to reduce unnecessary late finishes and support a healthy work-life balance.

Equipment will be delivered directly to sites where possible, helping engineers avoid unnecessary depot collections. The position also provides opportunities to develop additional experience in critical cooling and chiller systems through training and on-the-job support.

Key Responsibilities as an Air Conditioning Service Engineer

  • Carry out planned maintenance and servicing of commercial air conditioning systems
  • Diagnose and repair faults across VRV/VRF and split systems
  • Complete service and maintenance work across commercial client portfolios
  • Manage technical diagnostics independently and resolve system issues efficiently
  • Complete job sheets, service records, and reports using a tablet
  • Maintain high standards of workmanship and professionalism on client sites
  • Follow planned schedules and complete assigned work within the required timeframe
  • Support additional training in critical cooling and chiller systems where required
