Role Overview
As a Duty Manager at Nuffield Health, the successful candidate will help ensure the smooth day-to-day running of the Fitness & Wellbeing Club. The role combines customer service, team leadership, health and safety, and sales responsibilities.
The Duty Manager will lead by example, support colleagues, engage with members, and help maintain high standards throughout the club. The position also involves opening and closing the club, conducting tours for prospective members, and supporting sales targets.
Key Responsibilities as Duty Manager
- Take responsibility for the smooth running of the club during each shift
- Open and close the club when required
- Prioritise member satisfaction and build strong relationships with members
- Provide excellent customer service throughout the club
- Lead by example while supporting and guiding colleagues
- Maintain high-quality operational standards
- Conduct tours for prospective members and explain the benefits of Nuffield Health services
- Monitor and uphold health and safety procedures
- Respond quickly and effectively to health and safety issues
- Support the achievement of individual and team sales targets
- Cover Lifeguard breaks when required
- Maintain a professional, collaborative, and customer-focused environment
Shift Pattern & Pay
- Location: Barbican Fitness & Wellbeing Club, London
- Contract: Permanent
- Working Pattern: Full time
- Hours: 40 hours per week
- Salary: Up to £29,161.47 per annum, depending on experience
- Additional: Sales commission
