Role Overview

As a Senior Business Analyst with IT Search, the successful candidate will support a major technology and transformation programme within the Energy & Utilities sector.

The role is suited to an experienced Business Analyst with strong knowledge of Energy, Power, or Utilities environments, particularly experience involving electricity transmission or distribution, energy markets, control centres, or Operational Technology (OT).

Based in Belfast, the position requires three days per week onsite and involves working closely with business, engineering, operational, and technology stakeholders to define requirements and support future-state solutions.

Key Responsibilities as Senior Business Analyst

• Lead requirements gathering and business analysis across complex Energy & Utilities programmes
• Work with business, engineering, operational, and technology stakeholders to define functional and technical requirements
• Analyse current-state systems and processes and help define future-state solutions
• Translate business and operational requirements for architecture, engineering, and delivery teams
• Support systems integration across enterprise IT and Operational Technology environments
• Facilitate workshops and create requirements, process maps, user stories, and acceptance criteria
• Collaborate with Architects, Project Managers, technical teams, and technology vendors
• Contribute to technology transformation and systems integration initiatives

Skills & Experience Required

• Strong experience as a Business Analyst or Senior Business Analyst on complex technology programmes
• Demonstrable experience within Energy, Power, or Utilities
• Experience with one or more of the following:
  • SCADA
  • Energy Management Systems (EMS)
  • Advanced Distribution Management Systems (ADMS)
  • Power Systems
  • Control Centres or Control Systems
  • Electricity transmission or distribution
  • Energy Markets
  • Operational Technology (OT)
• Strong systems integration and technology transformation experience
• Excellent stakeholder management and workshop facilitation skills
• Strong analytical, communication, and requirements-gathering abilities
• Full legal right to work in the United Kingdom for the duration of the assignment

Salary & Working Arrangements

• Listed salary: £80,000
• Location: Belfast, Northern Ireland
• Three days per week onsite in Belfast
