For this opportunity, IT Search is recruiting an Industrial IT Infrastructure Specialist for a global manufacturing organisation operating in Larne. The role offers an opportunity for an experienced infrastructure professional to work directly within a manufacturing environment.

Role Overview

As an Industrial IT Infrastructure Specialist, the successful candidate will provide hands-on support across the IT infrastructure that underpins a manufacturing operation. The role covers servers, networks, hardware, endpoints, IoT devices, and key infrastructure technologies.

Working closely with plant engineers, Manufacturing IT, MES, and central infrastructure teams, the specialist will troubleshoot technical issues, support IT security and compliance, and contribute to digital manufacturing and Industry 4.0 initiatives.

This is a fully onsite position in Larne, suited to someone who combines strong technical knowledge with a practical, hands-on approach to both hardware and software.

Key Responsibilities as Industrial IT Infrastructure Specialist

• Provide hands-on IT infrastructure support across servers, networks, hardware, endpoints, and IoT devices
• Support infrastructure technologies including Windows Server, IIS, SQL, and Veeam
• Work closely with plant engineers, Manufacturing IT, MES, and central infrastructure teams
• Troubleshoot technical issues and take ownership through to resolution
• Support IT security, compliance, change management, and business continuity activities
• Contribute to Industry 4.0 and digital manufacturing initiatives
• Work with external suppliers and technology vendors
• Support the physical infrastructure and hardware used within the manufacturing environment
• Participate in an on-call rota of approximately one week per month
• Help maintain reliable and secure IT infrastructure across the manufacturing operation

Salary & Working Pattern

• £35,000–£40,000 per year
