Key Responsibilities as Operations Manager

• Lead, coach, and develop teams while creating a culture of accountability, growth, and high performance

• Analyse operational data to identify inefficiencies and implement scalable improvements
• Make timely decisions in a fast-paced operational environment

Pathways Career Development

The Amazon Pathways programme is structured around three stages of leadership development:

Area Manager: Lead approximately 50–100 associates while developing a strong foundation in operational leadership and large-scale systems.

Operations Manager: Lead and develop other managers, drive process improvements, and collaborate across the site, region, and wider network.

Senior Operations Manager: Lead through other leaders and support regional or network-level initiatives, including major projects, new business launches, or entire-site operations.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience leading and developing direct or indirect reports
• 3+ years of military experience
• MBA studies in supply chain management, operations, engineering, analytics, or a related discipline
• Master’s degree in engineering, particularly Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, Systems, or Computer Engineering
• Bachelor’s degree in an engineering discipline

Location & Working Hours

The position is available at Amazon operations facilities across the United States, including fulfillment centres, sortation centres, delivery stations, Amazon Air, return centres, and other warehouse environments.

Candidates must be willing to relocate at the time of hire. Site placement is primarily determined by business needs, while individual location preferences may also be considered.

Working hours can vary according to seasonal peaks and operational requirements. Candidates should be prepared to work weekends, holidays, overnight shifts, and overtime when necessary.

Salary & Compensation

• Base salary range: $135,000–$162,000 annually for Seattle, Washington
• Sign-on bonus paid over the first two years
