Role Overview

As a 2027 MBA Pathways Full-Time Operations Manager at Amazon, the successful candidate will work on complex operational challenges while leading teams, improving processes, and supporting business initiatives across Amazon’s operations network.

Key Responsibilities as Operations Manager

• Lead, coach, and develop teams while promoting accountability, growth, and high performance
• Partner with senior leaders to identify and solve complex operational and business challenges
• Analyse operational data to identify inefficiencies and implement scalable improvements
• Make real-time decisions while balancing safety, quality, productivity, and customer requirements
• Collaborate with technology, engineering, and supply chain teams

Pathways Programme Structure

Step 1: Area Manager

Participants begin by leading approximately 50–100 associates at one of Amazon’s fulfillment, sortation, or delivery facilities. This stage focuses on building a strong foundation in people and operational leadership.

Step 2: Operations Manager

Participants progress to leading and developing other managers while driving process improvements and collaborating across the site, region, and wider Amazon network.

Step 3: Senior Operations Manager

Graduates progress toward senior leadership responsibilities, including regional or network-level initiatives, major projects, new business launches, or entire-site operations.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience leading and developing direct and indirect reports
• At least 3 years of military experience
• MBA studies in supply chain management, operations, engineering, analytics, or a related discipline
• Master’s degree in Engineering, particularly Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, Systems, or Computer Engineering
• Bachelor’s degree in an engineering discipline

Location & Working Hours

Location: Amazon operations facilities across the United States

Potential facilities include fulfillment centres, sort centres, delivery stations, Amazon Air, return centres, and other warehouse environments.

Candidates must be willing to relocate at the time of hire. Placement is primarily based on business needs, although individual location preferences may be considered.

The role is hands-on and demanding, with working hours varying according to seasonal peaks and operational requirements. Candidates should expect weekends, holidays, overnight shifts, and overtime when necessary.

Salary & Compensation

• Starting salary listed for Seattle, Washington: $147,100 per year
• Sign-on bonus paid over the first two years
