GXO Logistics is currently recruiting a Warehouse First Line Manager to join its NHS contract at the Normanton site in West Yorkshire. The role provides an opportunity to lead frontline warehouse teams while supporting the safe and efficient delivery of essential products.

Role Overview

As a Warehouse First Line Manager with GXO Logistics, the successful candidate will lead and coordinate daily warehouse activities, ensuring that operational performance, safety, quality, and service standards are consistently maintained.

The role involves managing workflow, motivating colleagues, developing teams, and ensuring that operational and Health & Safety requirements are followed. It is suited to an experienced warehouse leader who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment where people, performance, and operational excellence are key priorities.

Key Responsibilities as Warehouse First Line Manager

• Lead and coordinate daily warehouse operations
• Manage frontline warehouse teams and allocate workloads effectively
• Motivate, support, and develop team members
• Ensure productivity and service-level targets are achieved
• Maintain high standards of safety, quality, and operational performance
• Pick stock from pallet racking, shelves, or designated warehouse areas using RF terminals or picking lists
• Use the RESUS warehouse management system to locate and retrieve products
• Ensure warehouse equipment is in good working condition and report defects
• Sort loads in the marshalling area and assist with vehicle loading
• Operate warehouse equipment when appropriately trained
• Monitor workflow and resolve operational issues where required
• Ensure compliance with company procedures and Health & Safety standards

Shift Pattern & Salary

• £30,722.52 per year
• 13% shift allowance
• Full-time, permanent position
• Two-week rotating shift pattern

Week 1:

• Monday–Thursday: 6:00am–2:00pm
• Friday: 6:00am–1:30pm
• Saturday–Sunday: Rest days

Week 2:

• Monday–Thursday: 2:00pm–10:00pm
• Friday: 1:30pm–8:30pm
• Saturday–Sunday: Rest days
