GXO Logistics is currently seeking an experienced HR Advisor to join its Sherburn-in-Elmet operation in West Yorkshire. The role supports managers and colleagues across a large shared-user logistics operation while helping deliver the site’s People Plan and employee engagement initiatives.

Role Overview

As an HR Advisor with GXO Logistics, the successful candidate will provide proactive and commercially focused HR support across the employee lifecycle. Working closely with the HR Manager, the role will involve advising managers on employee relations, coaching leaders, supporting recruitment and onboarding, and contributing to employee engagement and wellbeing initiatives.

This position is ideal for an experienced HR professional who is confident working in a fast-paced operational environment and can build effective relationships with managers and colleagues at different levels.

Key Responsibilities as HR Advisor

• Provide expert HR guidance to managers on disciplinary, grievance, performance, and absence management matters
• Ensure employee relations cases are handled consistently and in line with employment legislation
• Coach and develop managers to strengthen their people-management capabilities
• Support starters, leavers, probation reviews, recruitment, and onboarding activities
• Contribute to employee engagement, wellbeing, diversity, and inclusion initiatives
• Support the implementation of the site’s People Plan and wider HR projects
• Maintain compliance with HR policies, employment legislation, and audit requirements
• Build effective working relationships with managers, colleagues, and key stakeholders

Shift Pattern & Salary

• £34,000 per year
• Full-time, permanent position
• Monday to Friday
• 8:00am–4:00pm
• Based at the Sherburn-in-Elmet operation, West Yorkshire / Leeds LS25 6PT
