Role Overview

As a Salaried GP, the successful candidate will provide high-quality general medical services to patients while working as part of a supportive multidisciplinary healthcare team. The role involves assessing patients, diagnosing and treating a broad range of conditions, managing ongoing health needs, and supporting preventative healthcare.

The position is suited to an experienced GP who can deliver safe, effective, and patient-centred care while working collaboratively with colleagues. The successful candidate will also contribute to the continued development of clinical services and maintain high standards of professional practice.

Key Responsibilities as Salaried GP

• Provide comprehensive general medical services to registered patients
• Assess, diagnose, and manage a wide range of medical conditions
• Provide appropriate treatment, advice, and follow-up care
• Manage patients with long-term conditions and complex healthcare needs
• Deliver preventative healthcare, health promotion, and screening where appropriate
• Make appropriate referrals to secondary care and other healthcare services
• Prescribe safely and effectively in line with professional and organisational requirements
• Maintain accurate and timely clinical records
• Work collaboratively with GPs, nurses, healthcare professionals, and administrative colleagues
• Participate in clinical meetings, reviews, and service development activities
• Support quality improvement and clinical governance initiatives
• Maintain patient confidentiality and comply with information governance requirements
• Follow IC24 policies, procedures, and professional standards
• Contribute to a positive, inclusive, and patient-focused healthcare environment
