Role Overview

Anchor Group Services is seeking a reliable and customer-focused Dual Service Operative to join its team at St Catherines Walk Shopping Centre in Carmarthen, Wales. This position combines security, CCTV monitoring, and cleaning responsibilities to help maintain a safe, clean, and welcoming environment for shoppers, tenants, and employees.

The successful candidate will carry out routine cleaning duties, monitor CCTV systems, respond to incidents, and provide professional assistance to visitors. This role is suitable for someone who is observant, flexible, and committed to maintaining high standards of security, cleanliness, and customer service.

Key Responsibilities as Dual Service Operative

• Monitor CCTV systems and maintain effective oversight of security activities.
• Respond to security incidents and escalate concerns to the relevant management team or emergency services.
• Complete accurate incident reports, security logs, and records of surveillance activities.
• Follow site-specific security procedures and applicable legal requirements.
• Carry out routine and reactive cleaning tasks, including litter picking, mopping, spill response, and general housekeeping.
• Operate cleaning equipment and machinery safely.
• Maintain clean and tidy public areas throughout the shopping centre.
• Provide a visible and professional security presence across the site.
• Assist customers and visitors with enquiries and requests.
• Handle challenging situations professionally and follow appropriate conflict-management procedures.
• Identify hazards, report security concerns, and help maintain a safe environment.
• Work collaboratively with colleagues and management to support the smooth operation of the centre.
• Follow company policies, health and safety requirements, and site instructions.

Shift Pattern & Pay

• Location: St Catherines Walk Shopping Centre, St Catherines Street, Carmarthen, SA31 1GA
• Pay rate: £12.90 per hour
• Working pattern: Two days on, six days off
• Shift hours: 7:30 am to 6:00 pm
• Average working hours: Approximately 18.4 hours per week
• Reporting to: Dual Service Manager and Operations Manager
