Role Overview

Key Responsibilities as Loss Prevention Officer

• Greet customers warmly and act as a friendly, approachable ambassador at store entrances
• Monitor the sales floor to deter and detect theft, fraud, and dishonest behaviour
• Operate and review CCTV, EAS (electronic article surveillance), and other loss-prevention technology
• Respond promptly to alarm activations and investigate suspicious activity
• Safely apprehend shoplifters in line with company policy and legal guidelines
• Conduct regular fire, safety, and security inspections throughout the store
• Support internal investigations and maintain accurate incident documentation
• Train and advise store associates on shrink-reduction and safety best practices
• Build positive relationships with local law enforcement and external security partners
• Promote a culture of honesty, integrity, and compliance across the store team

Shift Pattern & Pay

• Competitive hourly rate (typically £12.50–£14.00 per hour, depending on location and experience)
• Full-time or part-time contracts available
• Flexible scheduling including mornings, evenings, weekends, and bank holidays
• Additional pay enhancements for night shifts and public holidays may apply
