Role Overview

As a Cleaner at Lidl, the successful candidate will help maintain a clean, tidy, and hygienic environment throughout the Penzance store. The role involves cleaning both on and off the shop floor and ensuring that welfare facilities and external areas are maintained to a high standard.

The Cleaner will be responsible for operating industrial cleaning equipment, maintaining toilets and waste areas, keeping car parks and trolley bays tidy, and carrying out minor maintenance tasks when required.

This part-time position is suitable for someone who is reliable, hands-on, motivated, and able to work independently while maintaining high standards of hygiene and safety.

Key Responsibilities as Cleaner

• Thoroughly clean and maintain the store to a high standard
• Keep shop floor areas clean, tidy, and presentable
• Maintain trolley bays, car parks, and external areas
• Operate industrial cleaning machinery confidently and safely
• Clean welfare areas, including toilets
• Maintain waste and recycling areas
• Carry out minor maintenance tasks when required
• Ensure hygiene standards are consistently maintained
• Follow Health and Safety requirements and company procedures
• Work independently while contributing to the wider store team
• Take pride in maintaining a welcoming environment for customers and colleagues

Shift Pattern & Pay

• £13.45–£14.45 per hour
• 20-hour contract
• Part-time position
• Various shifts between 5am and 11pm
• Location: Western Promenade, Penzance, TR18 4NP
